Pre botox * Avoid taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Nuprin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®, Fish oil, Ginko Biloba, St. John’s Wort and high doses of vitamin E for 7-10 days prior to procedure, as these may cause increase risk of bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s). Regular multi-vitamin and Tylenol® is permitted (If not contraindicated). * Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to procedure as this can increase the risk for bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s). * Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal creams in the area(s) to be treated. * Sunburn skin is difficult to treat so avoid exposure to the sun. * Eat a small meal or a snack before your appointment. Post Botox * The results of your treatment can take up to 14 days to take full effect. Usually clients notice a change in 4-5 days. It takes time for the muscles to lose strength and the lines to fade following Botox® treatment. Please wait until 14 days have passed before assessing if you are pleased with the results. * Do not touch or rub injected site for 2-4 hours following treatment. Avoid exercise and sweating for the remainder of the day and no lying down or leaning forward for 2-4 hours after treatment. * There can be a slight chance of bruising at the treated site, this is temporary. Be assured that any tiny bumps or marks will go away within a few hours of treatment. * Avoid any type of facial, microderm abrasion, or massage for 14 days after treatment. * Avoid Ibuprofen, Advil or Motrin, Tylenol is acceptable to take if experiencing discomfort (if not contraindicated) * Botox® Cosmetic is a temporary procedure and at first, you may find that your treatment results will last approximately 3-4 months. If you maintain your treatment appointments the duration of each treatment results may last longer than 4 months. * Your satisfaction is important to me! Pre lip filler For optimal results, and to minimize the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood-thinning medications and supplements for one week prior to your appointment. This includes over-the-counter medication such as aspirin and ibuprofen . Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours before or after your treatment to avoid extra bruising. • Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A) retinols, retinoids, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, or any "anti-aging" products for two days before and after treatment. Post lip filler • Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area • Avoid strenuous exercise or anything that increases your heart rate for 24 hours. • Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours (no sauna, hot tub). • Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excessive swelling. • You may apply a cool compress or ice pack for 15 minutes each hour while awake to reduce swelling. • Use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for discomfort. No NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin) for 24 hours as they can increase bleeding. • Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling. • You may want to consider taking Arnica (found in health food stores) to help with the bruising and swelling. • Avoid wearing makeup the day of procedure. • Sanitize your phone before putting it to your face and try to talk on speaker phone as much as you can day of. • Wait a minimum of two weeks before dental work, immunizations, or laser treatments. I do require a $50 non refundable deposit. No Refunds I do require a $25 consult fee which you will be required to do a consult once a year with my medical director.
